Forward motion and other vague luxuries

I remember at my old place I had no real heating, and it was a rather old apartment so when winter came around, I was fucking freezing most of the time. I used to cruise around in tracksuit pants, socks, t-shirt, jumper, thick hoody with another jacket on top and a scarf. I remember friends who visited paid me out but damn, I felt warm, and it was good. I remember when I was insanely sick with the flu, I just stayed in bed and just felt lovely.

This new apartment doesn't really have that, I can walk around in t-shirt and shorts and feel a bit chilly, but because I'd be sweating like a pig if I dressed up like I did before, I don't really get that sense of warmth or through that, contentment.

Watched Requiem For A Dream and The Devil Wears Prada. Req was a letdown, but The Devil Wears Prada was highly enjoyable, even if it did seem like an Ugly Betty rip off (or vice versa). And I'm sorry, but no matter what movie studios attempt to do, you cannot make Anne Hathaway look ugly or dishevelled!!! She is flaming hot, and after seeing a bit of her serious side in Havoc and Brokeback Mountain, I just have to say she deserves more recognition.

So at first I did not like Sex On Fire by Kings Of Leon, but I must say, after several listens, it is hard to top those screaming guitar double stops during the chorus.

I started going to the gym again this weekend, and I am aiming to go 6 days a week from now on. By god, I almost died. But it's good for me, and hopefully it'll help me sleep at night, and have the energy to put up with long days. This also means getting up early again but I'm sure that'll be ok.

I also watched Independence Day, and I gotta say, despite all the shlockness, it is a damn enjoyable action movie!

Anyhow, I am gearing up for tonight's formula 1, should be a good one! Enjoy folks.

This may cost your freedom, but keep hope alive!

But it could also be a countdown to departure.

But one should never count their chickens before they hatch.

There's this drink "Deep Spring" Lemon Lime and Orange drink, which I must say is my favourite drink in the world.

I think I got it from High School where we would sometimes head to the shopping centre after school to mallrat for a while. I used to get that drink from a vending machine outside Big W, and it was just perfection.

Hahha it also reminds me of a crush I used to have. We used to go to this mall so I could perve on my crush, who despite living near me, went to a different school, and sometimes I caught the bus back with her, and had to endure a hell of a trek from her part of the woods to my suburb.

Ahhhh, reminiscing about youth, that drink is lovely.

I have recently procured it here and I am drinking it sparingly.

Anyway, enough for now till I have more to say. Have a nice day folks!

Was I wrong?

Cause now I'm starting to think that I asked for too much.

I may be trapped here.

Will you do what it takes?

Cause I don't know if I can.

Then again, I do not know what is required.

The day?

7.5 work.

Which in reality is closer to 11.5

Travel between home and work 0.6

Guitar 0.3

Exercise 0.3

Tv time 1.0

Procrastination 3.3

Sleep 7.0

My timesheet, eat your heart out!

It's sort of nice right now to not be doing anything, and just have some time for me. To sit and reflect can never be a bad thing. Even if all the thoughts are negative, these are things that must be dealt with.

A bit of solace please?

Until the next one. Hopefully some lucidity will strike! Have a nice day folks!

Learned things in school, but wound up becoming an April's Fool

I have to make this quick, as I have food on the stove. But that's alright, since the computer is about 4-5 metres away from the kitchen, haha!

I have been punishing my fingers. My acoustic has relatively heavy gauge strings, and high action, so long term playing is painful. So I don't know why I played from 1-5am this morning!! It was fantastic. I was worried that I haven't been able to improve since I first started work, but my sight reading has gotten a lot better, as has my improvisational skills. I've also composed a lot more music, as opposed to lyrics (of which I've had many ideas but put nothing to paper).

I have had a relatively uneventful weekend which is about the way I like it, but I only watched one movie The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian, which had excellent cinematography like the first film, but I felt this one was a bit lacking, and just centred on drawn out action scenes with no real build up.

I am REALLY looking forward to the upcoming break and two lots of 4 day weeks, which just make life so much more bearable. I am aiming to just watch movies, no real guitarfests, and no gameage. Just movies, being slack and escaping from the real world.

I am anxious. About what? I don't know. Anyhow, let's leave this here for now and I shall come back to this another time.

Have a nice day folks!
