Just a quick post before I watch some movies and play some games. I took tomorrow off on something called "flex time". For those of you that don't know, flex time is a system where you get time credits for extra hours work and can trade those in on a time for time basis for time off. I have about two days off now but I'll trade the other one in on the night Michael Schumacher races in Valencia!
I saw the other on Fri night which was great. Always good to catch up. Helped him with his tax affairs and he is looking at a nice refund. Haha talking like a loser here. It was nice to use some the skills I learned previously though.
Got into some gaming, with GTA 4 (AMAZING, I WOULD LIKE TO DROOL NOW) and Warhawk, which was just down and out good FUN. That's what we've been lacking, just awesome fun and not much else. A great spiritual successor to Tribes I gotta say.
This weekend has been relaxing, just the way I like it.
So why am I posting? Oh yeah, in response to the other's twitter post, I have to say that Regina Spektor is an unusual talent, she is very unique, and I think people should give her stuff a listen. She has the capability of being very polarising, you either like her a lot or you hate her with a passion.
Why am I attracted to such feminine fragrances, or stuff that reminds me of women?? First was Dove soap which reminds me of a girl I knew in Sydney, when I was much younger. Chanel #5, which just drives me WILD (haha although I don't use it of course)! And now this Nivea Moisturising Cream for men with SPF, I don't know WHAT it is, but it's just the essence of femininity and it's elusive. I can't stop smelling my hands!!! It's coming home. To a place better than where I am.
Anyhow, that's it for now. Have a nice day folks!

Fleeting thoughts in a memory haze
I stopped moisturising after every shower. I probably should in winter, considering how hot I have my showers, and the fact that my skin peels now. But I only moisturise my face now after I shave. Since my last moisturiser ran out, I'm now using Nivea Protective moisturiser and I am loving it.
It smells like girls. Not the most obvious thing you think of when you think of girls and smells, but just girls. Ahh, it also smells like home.
I've stopped using that body milk moisturiser, which is a shame, cause I liked the smell of that too.
Yep I've got nothing. Have a nice day folks!

Our eyes should stop meeting like this
So I thought it was going to be a bad night. Once again, forced to go to a function that I did not want to go to. I wanted to watch some movies and play some games but alas, it did not happen.
So I sat there, next to people I did not know while they chatted, and I said nothing.
Then I spotted her near the start of the night - gorgeous fair skin, sharp facial features, sheer sleeves that gave the slightest hint of an amazing body, and shiny green eyes. One word: sex. Pure sex I tells ya.
So out of nowhere, this girl sits opposite me and I'm having a freak out right then and there. Then the night starts to wear on and I'm just looking at her and grinning like an idiot. But she was also eyeing me, it did feel good.
This girl was different to most others, she was all class. She was beautiful. That's a word I do not use often, because it's difficult to find examples.
So I didn't say anything to her, because I was just enjoying looking at her. Then later on I just decided why the hell not and asked her about her life. Then I was shocked. She has the same job I had previously, albeit with a competitor, in the city I was in before! She also lives right near where I used to live, in fact I would have passed her residence several times. We had a lot in common. It was fantastic. Then it was time for me to leave. It was fantastic. I had a good time.
Just wanted to mark this so I didn't forget it. What a week. First my Alicia Sacramone dream, and now this. Is this leading to something? Hahah I think the starting gun has already gone off. But the finishing line is coming up. However, not much time until the next race.
That's enough for today folks.

Annie (or Alicia), are you okay??!
No, she's not. She was struck down, it was her doom! God I love that song, easily my fave MJ tune.
So what's news? Not much, just thought I'd let you know that I'm still alive and kicking. The other has been killing it on Twitter, which is good to see. Hopefully the other will have a post soon. But he has been living it up as he is currently indisposed so I hope he gets better soon.
So I'm just getting used to the monotony and drudgery of every day life. Wake up, work, home, procrastination. That's ok, but it can be a dream killer if you get too comfortable. As I've been back here for over a month now, I am still unpacking, and man I just have TOO much crap. If I moved out again within the year, or got engaged, I would be annoyed, cause I'd have to move it all again!!
I have just been so tired lately. I don't know how the hell it's happening, considering I got less sleep in Sydney. How do I start my day? With a scalding hot shower! Yes, it's winter at the moment, and the typical urge is to stay in bed and not go to work. But a scalding hot shower wakes me up nicely and keeps me warm till I get to work. A rather grotty side effect is that the skin in between my fingers peels away. But it's worth it. Maybe a cold shower would wake me up better? But I don't have the guts for that in winter!
I bought some more things. I now own a Washburn HM model guitar. Yes it is a Hannah Montana acoustic guitar, and it ROCKS! It's 3/4 size, but it plays well and sounds great. Awesome for the price I have to say. The amplifier was also fantastic. Even through my crap Jordin pickups I got some FANTASTIC tone through the clean settings. Nice jangly sound, fit for The Smiths I say!
So it's finally happened!!!!!! I have updated the Joaquin Rate List (JRL)!! It can be found here: http://dropc.blogspot.com/2004/12/great-fun-to-be-around-you.html. A few surprises there me thinks.
What I find interesting are romantic dreams. Sometimes with utter randoms. It's not about the things we actively want or pursue, but it's what the subconscious desires, things you didn't even KNOW you wanted. It reminds me of the Red Dwarf novel Better Than Life, where they are stuck in a virtual reality game that's highly addictive. They're talking about the evolution of the game and they said the first models were unplayable because it just gave you everything you wished for. When the second model came out, it tapped in to the hidden things and became so addictive, it was lethal.
Anyway, that's it for now folks. Have a nice day!

Uncomfortable in the silo - cause it's my job to shine the guillotine so the victims don't complain.
Haha, as you can tell, most of the subject headings for my posts are either song titles, lyrics, quotes, or like this one, random. I enjoy.
I don't know if I addressed this previously, but I would like to bring it up again. Before I left to come back home, my friends used to say that this place was a scummy town. I obviously disagreed with the statement. However, since I've been working in the city, and am there during the day. I really have to say, this town has HEAPS of scummy people! I think Sydney obviously has more, but due to the spread of the city and the crappy transport, they did not appear in the city all too often.
However, now they seem to be everywhere! What a world! Home is much smaller, and transport is more reliable. Therefore, they are free to roam the wilderness and annoy people.
The other has made some brilliant points in his last few posts, and I will address these on my blog review. Remember, it will take place in September, so look out for that. It's gonna be a mammoth post, maybe even the biggest post ever!!
Alright that's enough from me today. Have a nice day folks!

To geek or not to geek...
People always struggle with things and for the last while, I've been struggling with what I do. Is it really important for me to focus on all the things that I have learned to do in my past? Or is it alright to super-specialize? I've been wrestling with this for the longest time. Am I really appreciated as an employee, or am I just being used for the things that I can do for them in the time being? Can an employer ever have the best intentions for you at heart or will they always try and handicap you so that it works to their advantage? These are all questions that have no straightforward answer. We humans don't like uncertainty. I for one hate it...
Is it enough for me to be the 'Resident Geek?' Or should I keep trying to push myself into other branches of marketing which I am good at and am more trained than others that may be doing that. If I don't, am I wasting away my potential? The good thing at the end of the day is that I have skills in both of those sets, so sooner or later someone else must see what I am capable of doing and offer me a good opportunity. Sometimes I feel I just have to learn a bit more patience and I'll get rewarded. Time will soon tell.
For the time being, I have acknowledged my inner geek and decided to do whatever it is that I am interested in for the time being. I can keep to my own space. I can write about whats going through my head. I will twitter. And I will have my face on that book...
